Anthony has been designing houses since he was 6 years old, however it was not until 1978 that one was actually built. This was after a lot of experience in the making and laying of mud bricks and pressed earth bricks as well as the experience of building some houses. For a few years he was seen fairly regularly in the Architecture Department at RMIT.Anthony strives to resolve all building details for a particular design so that there is not too much "head scratching" for the builder. The houses are described as Passive Solar because they are designed to make the most of the local climate and the building itself, for thermal comfort with less use of mechanical heating or cooling.Anthony now works from his old sandstone residence on the bank of the Darling River and travels to meet clients and make preliminary site inspections.
